[S1E6] Don't Come Around Here No More !!TOP!!

Arabian wind, the needle's eye is thinThe ships of state sail on mirage and drown in sandOut in no man's land, where Allah does commandWhat good is spilling blood? It will not grow a thing"Taste eternity", the swords singBlues for Allah, Insh'AllahThey lie where they fall, there's nothing more to sayThe desert stars are bright tonight, let's meet as friends

[S1E6] Don't Come Around Here No More

And it's just a box of rain, I don't know who put it thereBelieve it if you need it or leave it if you dareAnd it's just a box of rain, or a ribbon for your hairSuch a long, long time to be gone and a short time to be there

There comes a redeemer and he slowly, too, fades awayAnd there follows his wagon behind him that's loaded with clayAnd the seeds that were silent all burst into bloom and decayAnd night comes so quiet, its close on the heels of the day

Going where the wind don't blow so strangeMaybe off on some high cold mountain range (note 1)Lost one round but the price wasn't anythingA knife in the back and more of the same

One pane of glass in the windowNo one is complaining, though, come in and shut the doorFaded is the crimson from the ribbons that she woreAnd it's strange how no one comes round any more

[Bob]We used to play for silver now we play for life (note 2)And one's for sport, and one's for blood at the point of a knifeAnd now the die has shaken, now the die must fallThere ain't a winner in the gameHe don't go home with all, not with all

Ring that bell for whatever it's worthWhen Monday comes, don't forget about workBy now you know that face on your dollarGot a thumb to its nose and a hand on your collarWhich is to say, hey-ey

Ten years ago I walked this street, my dreams were riding tallTonight I would be thankful Lord, for any dreams at allSome folks would be happy just to have one dream come trueBut everything you gather is just more that you can lose

All the things I planned to do, I only did half wayTomorrow will be Sunday, born of rainy SaturdayThere's some satisfaction in the San Francisco rainNo matter what comes down, the mission always looks the same

The bottles stand as empty now, as they were filled beforeTime there was and plenty, but from that cup no moreThough I could not caution all, I still might warn a fewDon't lend your hand to raise no flag atop no ship of fools

Delia, Delia, dear sweet Delia DHow the hell can I arrest him, when he's twice as big as meWell don't ask me to go downtown, I wouldn't come back aliveNot only is that mother big, he packs a forty five

Well the first days are the hardest days, don't you worry any more'Cause when life looks like easy street, there is danger at your doorThink this through with me, let me know your mindWo-oh, what I want to know is, are you kind?

It's the same story the crow told me, it's the only one he knowsLike the morning sun you come and like the wind you goAin't no time to hate, barely time to waitWo-oh, what I want to know, where does the time go?

I got up and wanderedWandered downtown, nowhere to go but just to hang aroundI've got a girlNamed Bonny Lee, I know that girl's been true to me (note 5)I know she's been, I'm sure she's been true to me

Shaking in the forest, what have you to fearHere there may be tigers to punch you in the earGloves of stainless steel, bats carved out of brickWill knock you down and push you up and give your ass a kickWhen push comes to shoveYou're afraid of love

Shaking in the desert, wherefore do you cryHere there may be rattle snakes to punch you in the eyeShotguns full of silver, bullets made of glassString barbed wire at your feet and do not let you passWhen push comes to shoveYou're afraid of love

Because this is apparently the episode where we all deal with our problems through talk therapy, Charlotte unpacks everything with her pal Tom. Charlotte's overwhelmed; she thought she was so sensible but she got a lot wrong, and she's starting to get why Sidney was so rude to her before. Tom, who's a pretty solid friend, tells her that Sidney is weird, but was more pleasant as a youngster. Remember when Mom Parker mentioned Sidney's broken engagement? Well we've gotten to the part in the show where we unlock his Tragic Backstory, and it's a doozy. Apparently, Sidney was all ready to get hitched when his fiance dumped him for a rich guy. In the aftermath, he went... a little wild. Tom had to pay off his debts, and Sidney ran off to Antigua to forget his ex, but he's still isn't the same.

I wish there was a way to get every person counted properly for the census, but when we can't even agree on ID cards for voting, I don't think we'll come around to understanding that ball of wax anytime soon.

Shea: I know how you feel. A lot of people are going to tell you that. Whether it's truth or not, I don't know. But I know it's true when I say it. I've sat right where you're sittin', thinkin' the same thing. Thinkin' I don't want to live without them. Don't see the point. Still do most days. But here I am, livin' without 'em.Elsa: Why?Shea: Well, my reasons be different than yours. I don't have anyone left who loves me. You do. I'll tell you a secret. I'll tell you why I'm still suckin' air today. I'm headin' to the ocean.Elsa: The ocean?Shea: An Apache scout told me once when you love somebody, you trade souls with 'em. They get a piece of yours; you get a piece of theirs. But when your love dies, a little piece of you dies with 'em. That's why you hurt so bad. But that little piece of him is still inside you, and he can use your eyes to see the world. So, I'm takin' my wife to the ocean, and I'm gonna sit on the beach and let her see it. That was her dream. And I'm gonna see her. That's my dream. In the meantime, the herd could sure use its cowgirl.

There is even a new cowboy with the group, and he was friends with Ennis. We don't need Elsa to always be in love, but we need her to be the beacon of hope for the wagon train. And if that means she gets back to flirting, then so be it.

Shea said that everyone who loves him is gone from this earth, but it looks like by putting himself out there with Elsa, the two will form a loving relationship. The more love there is in the world, the better. It doesn't come easily, but these two souls found each other as much as Elsa found Ennis.

Margaret: [crying] Wherever we're going, it better be paradise 'cause it's costing us a daughter. And if you ask me, it's a shitty trade.James: We ain't tradin' nothin'.Margaret: She killed a man!! And she was about to kill another. I look in her eyes and the person starin' back at me, I don't recognize. I'll never forgive you for this!James: You don't forgive me? I don't forgive me!

Would it have been nice to see that process happen? To spend more time with Rhaenyra and Alicent as they found their new level, had their first kids? Maybe. There's certainly a sense that both of them have shifted from focusing on themselves and their respective stations to worrying about their kids. It makes sense, given how precarious the situations they've put themselves in remain; worry is the price of power. But I can't help feeling we've been denied the chance to see them grow into adults in their own right, instead of solely in relation to the men in their lives.

Open on: Princess Rhaenyra's bedchamber. She's having her third kid. All boys. First there was Jacaerys (he goes by Jayce). Then there was Lucerys (he goes by Luke). Now comes li'l Joffrey (he goes by Braden). (Kidding! He's Joff. It's just funny how George R.R. Martin's high-fantasy monikers always seem to get turned into names you'd find on a varsity-lacrosse team roster. Welcome, Ser Cody! To arms, Ser Eli! Lord Zeke, hail!)

Specifically, young Jayce is learning to control his dragon. Welcome to the stage: Vermax! The show's fifth dragon! (Aegon's dragon Sunfyre gets a passing mention, but you know the rules: We don't count our dragons until we actually see them in the scaly flesh.)

Malcolm Gladwell: In Glassboro, New Jersey, a little community half an hour south of Philadelphia, there's a statue right by the road as you drive into town. It's of a man named Henry Rowan; he liked to be called Hank. Whenever Hank Rowan came to Glassboro, he was mobbed like a rock star which probably embarrassed him because he wasn't given to those kinds of displays. When Hank Rowan died in December of 2015, there was a huge memorial service. Then in the evening, students from the local college gathered around his statue holding candles and sang for him as earnestly as only college kids can.

GS: He drove Oldsmobiles and Buicks and, finally, the company here insisted he drive a Lincoln and he drove it into the ground just about. Oh, he had a Cadillac once, but he towed his boats with that too because it had a bigger engine, you know. None of this drive around and wave at people, soÔøΩ 041b061a72
